Whether your source needs gas, your optics need attention or you need another machine altogether, every job starts the same way: we look at the facts, measure, and give you a price before any work begins.

Keep your own source, or keep the machine running?
Because we hold matching sources in stock, you are not forced to wait for a refill. Decide what matters more this week and we'll work around it.
Option A: 1:1 exchange, dispatched within 24 hours
We take an identical source off our own shelves and ship it within 24 hours, subject to availability. Once it is installed, your old source comes back to us. You pay the same as for a refill. If your production has already stopped, ask straight away: when we have a suitable replacement source, it goes out at short notice to keep the standstill as short as possible.
Option B: we refill your source in 3 to 7 working days
You send us your source. We measure it, open it, fill it with the original gas mix, seal it and measure it again. Your own source comes back, together with both readings on paper.

Refill instead of replace
Why a new tube is usually the expensive answer
CO2 lasers lose power because the gas mixture wears out, not because the glass does. As long as the source is gas-tight and the electrodes are sound, a refill takes it back to its original output.

FAQ
Worth knowing before you box anything up
My cuts are getting weaker. Is it the tube?
Possibly, but check the cheap things first. A dirty mirror or a misaligned beam looks exactly like a tired source. If the optics are clean and aligned and you still have to turn the power up to get the cut you used to get, or the laser no longer goes through material it used to cut easily, the gas is the likely culprit.
Do you need the whole machine, or just the source?
For a refill, the source on its own is all we need. If you're not sure where the fault is (power loss, arcing, cuts drifting out of position), describe the whole set-up to us before you send anything and we'll tell you what makes sense.
Is every CO2 source worth refilling?
No. A cracked tube, eroded electrodes or a burnt output mirror mean a refill won't last. Checking for exactly that is the first thing we do. If refilling makes no sense, we tell you and offer a replacement instead.
What's the safest way to send a laser tube?
Protect the ends. That's where glass tubes break. Our shipping page walks you through padding, a double-wall carton and declaring the right value. Most of the broken tubes we see were broken in transit, not in use.
