Iradion CO2 Laser Source Refill and Exchange
Laser-Store24, an independent workshop in Rutesheim, Germany, refills Iradion 154F, 156F, 1510F and 1512F CO2 RF laser sources, including the many fitted in Trotec machines as TL2 to TL8. Depending on the model and power, a refill or 1:1 exchange costs between €490 and €11,900 net (excl. VAT), takes 3–7 working days and comes with a 12-month functional warranty on our work. The exact price is confirmed in a fixed quote once we have measured the source.
Which Iradion laser sources can be refilled?
Our Iradion compatibility list covers:
- Iradion 154F
- Iradion 156F
- Iradion 1510F
- Iradion 1512F
Which Iradion source is in my Trotec laser?
A large share of the Iradion sources we receive come out of Trotec machines. Trotec gives them its own "TL" code: the source is the same, only the name on the machine is different. Here is how they match up:
| Trotec designation | Iradion source | Power indication |
|---|---|---|
| TL2 | 154F | – |
| TL3 | 154F | – |
| TL4 | 156F | 55–80 W according to Trotec documentation |
| TL6 | 1510F | 85–100 W according to Trotec documentation |
| TL8 | 1512F | high-power configurations |
The safest check is the rating plate on the source itself, so please send us a photo of it before you order. For anything else on Trotec machines (diagnosis, optics, beam path, focus, components), see our Trotec laser tube refill and service page.
Signs your Iradion source needs a regas
- You need more power for the same job.
- The machine runs slower or needs several passes.
- Engraving results are uneven.
- The machine runs, but there is no laser output.
- The source is hard to fire when cold.
Dirty optics or a misaligned beam cause exactly the same symptoms, so check those first, or ask our maintenance and repair team for a remote diagnosis. For background on how sealed CO2 sources age and when a refill makes sense, read our guide to CO2 laser tube refills.
How does an Iradion refill work?
An Iradion source is a sealed CO2 laser excited by radio frequency (RF). Over time its gas mixture of CO2, nitrogen and helium degrades and output power drops. A refill restores that mixture after a full inspection of the source.
What happens on your side
- Describe the problem and send the source: we reply within 24 hours on working days.
- Measurement on arrival at our workshop.
- Fixed-price quote: nothing is done without your approval. If the source cannot be refilled, you pay nothing for a refill and we suggest a replacement.
- Refill, second measurement and insured return. See our advice on shipping and packaging.
What happens in the workshop
- Incoming test and power measurement
- Diagnosis, including residual gas analysis by mass spectrometry
- Evacuation and helium leak test
- Refill with the original gas mixture
- Check of the resonator, optics and RF electronics
- Alignment and final measurement
Before the source is opened, we measure the power supply, driver and cooling. Tightness is checked under vacuum over several hours, and output power and beam profile are verified before the source goes back. You receive a before/after measurement report with the electrical parameters.
Iradion refill cost and turnaround
- Price: €490–11,900 net (excl. VAT), depending on model and power, confirmed by quote after measurement.
- Saving: typically 30–50 % less than a new source.
- Turnaround: 3–7 working days.
- Warranty: 12-month functional warranty on our work.
1:1 exchange from stock
We keep sources in stock for a range of Trotec systems. Where a compatible source is in stock, tested and approved, it can ship within 24 hours at the same price as a refill. Your old source comes back to us as part of the exchange. Depending on the model and location, removal, installation, testing, adjustment and alignment are available as options.
Sending your Iradion source from the UK
- A shipment from Germany to the UK is an export, so there is no German VAT on our invoice.
- UK import VAT and customs clearance are handled through the courier.
- For a refill or repair, the source can be sent as a temporary export / outward processing for repair; your customs agent or courier handles the paperwork.
- EU businesses with a VAT ID are invoiced without German VAT (reverse charge).
- Read our shipping and packaging guide on how to pack the source safely.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions about Iradion refills
How do I know if my Trotec has an Iradion 1510F?
According to our cross-reference, a Trotec fitted with a TL6 source uses an Iradion 1510F. A photo of the rating plate will confirm it.
Will a refill bring back the original power?
Output returns to the original level or close to it. The before/after report documents the measured value.
What if my Iradion source can't be refilled?
You are not charged for a refill, and we offer a replacement instead, for example a compatible reconditioned source from our stock.
Is Laser-Store24 an official Iradion or Trotec service partner?
No. We are an independent workshop. Our warranty covers our work and is not a manufacturer's warranty.
What details do you need from me?
Manufacturer, model, rated power, serial number, a description of the problem and a photo of the rating plate.
Is your laser source losing power? Have it measured.
Brand, model, symptoms: we tell you whether a refill makes sense before you send anything.
